Cool. Anyone else notice how the only new species found these days are always critically endangered? Of course, this is probably why it took so long to discover them.

Thanks for that one Steve always gives a good feeling when a new snake is found, makes you think that wild life depletion has been halted ...well for a few seconds at least
by coincidence i just came across one of my old books [a couple of days ago actually] it is called SUN SAND AND SNAKES by Steven Spawls its about a guy who moves as a kid from the UK to east Africa and his herping adventures as he grew up, he is credited with several important discovery's and it makes a good read for those that like that sort of thing

I like. There's something about the horns and the colours that make it a stunning specimen.

There is a story behind it? No...I just know it makes my stomach feel like crap all the time.

i have a tape of a program by the BBC i think ?[lost among thousands of hours of VHS tapes] that tells the story of a young Australian medic who proved wrong all the distinguished professors and eminent surgeons when they claimed that stress and diet caused ulcers...he noticed while doing post mortem's that body's with ulcers invariably contained pylori and went on to prove that the condition could be cured with a simple broad spectrum antibiotic in the face of opposition from those people who had been cutting out patients stomachs as a cure.

Well I'm very glad for my sake, Chantel's sake, and many others, that they discovered that antibiotics worked and did not have to cut out our stomachs!!

I might get that book you mentioned, John...I'm always looking for good books...sounds like a good read.
