Here's my Son and Tank. Tank climbed up onto the couch and onto my Son's chest.
She then decided to take a rest. This turtle could run off and stay way from us but has decided to be part of the family. We love her and hope she lives a good long life on the Ranch.

My Mom's a red-head, one of 3 daughters that were all red heads. When I was a teen-ager she was trying to set me up with every red haired boy she saw because she wanted red haired grandchildren. I ended up marrying a curly, blonde haired Ukranian and skipping the kids bit. Its more fun to borrow your friend's kids and warp their brains before returning them!

I always thought that blue eyes and red hair was a recessive gene, like our albino snakes, so mom must be "het" LoL.

My mother is blonde hair blue eyes originally (she's half cherokee) and my dad is brown eyes, black hair and half blackfoot. However, my mothers mother is a redhead, and my dads mother is a redhead. I ended up with red hair and hazel eyes.

This is a Common Snapping Turtle with Kyphosis(bowing of the spine)
The bottom photo is of a 120 pound Alligator Snapping Turtle. The photo doesn't do it justice. The head is 9 inches across. This is one massive turtle.
My friend Mark and his wife do turtle rescues. The alligator snapper was rescued from a turtle butchery. It's gained about 40 lbs since Mark obtained it.

I have to share what happened to one of our more high maintenance pets this week.

As some of you know, we have 3 horses. Back in 2008 we bought this gangly, 2yr old Haflinger gelding we nicknamed iNDee. ( Short for his official name of N.D.'s Pride ) He came with this lovely, double thick mane. (First pic ) Well this past winter he has done everything possible to wreck it, from rubbing it out on trees, and the fence, to getting burrs in it day after day, you name it he did it. This summer, he learned to escape from the paddock on almost a daily basis by reaching under the last strand of our high tensile fence and kept pushing until he squirted out underneath. ( This is the largest horse in the paddock. Jumping over is too much work! But weed-eating under the fence is not! ) This also did wonders for his mane. It finally ended up part dreadlocks interspersed with short, jagged patches that looked like a shocked, mad scientist's hair. UGH! How did he go from my pretty pony to THAT!

So we electrified the H**l outta the fence. He doesn't go near it now. And then I had to fix his mane. I don't think he approves of his new haircut much by the one pic! Oh Well!
