I really don't get it, the little bugger made such a turn around, it's not the first time I have ever seen the mouth packed full of substrate in a carcass, any clues as to why that would happen?

Some of these snakes are as rugged as rocks, and others seem so frail....

I had a really long talk with Dorothy, and we have decided that cage carpet will be the primary liner from now on.

At least until they are bigger,

No more baby snakes in any kind of shavings, coconut or otherwise.

Wayne, Substrate in the mouth may just be from an open mouth convulsion.I have had a couple do that. I don't think it caused anything more serious than what they were suffering from and wasn't a cause of death. Just my thoughts.

Oh Wayne, I am terribly sorry for the loss of the fl blue. He did put up a fight. Sending my condolences.
