    Re: What size?

mainy because if a tank is turned on its side... 1- it will look funny to me and I am a perfectionist... 2- the screen top would have to be way more secured to stay on and 3- some substrate is bound to fall out from the screen top and get on the floor.... my wood cages do this and it drives me INSANE!!!

I cant wait to rip those doors off and put sliding ones on!!!

    Re: What size?

I know haveing a tank on it's side would bug me LOL

So, after looking around at other's enclosures I've decided to move some stuff around and bring up the 55 (now i just have to convince DH to let me) LOL

I was thinking I could do something like bsol's set up. A pool on one end and plants and such on the other. Does anyone else have a setup like his? Any advise is appreciated.

Why do I feel like I'm getting into this way over my head?

    Re: What size?

We recently built a mini version of it with a 20 gallon long. It's been workin great. Though we didn't do the live plants. You can check out the pictures in the enclosures section under Sku's New Crib. I think it turned out quite well. We had to get some scrap plexiglass from a guy on Craig's List. Then we cut it down and put it in place with aquarium sealant, put pebbles on it with the same, and put another piece half the size down the other side to kind of make a ramp for the snakes into the water. Also made a nice little hide for them to use.
