Pinpointing illnesses and Health issues

Let's face it everyone: we've all been hit very hard by health issues this winter. I think this thread should be a place to report the mortalities, including what they've been eating, temperatures, cage mates, age, and genders. If there's something we see in common among the listings, maybe we can work together to figure out what's going wrong.

I think possibly Wayne or Shannon suggested it could be the low humidity of winter that may me the source for a number of us with Garter's that have died recently?
Could there be something to the low humidity of winter causing parasites to emerge/fester or something to weaken or attack our Garter's defense systems?
There must be some type of explanation for this to keep happening to what appears to be our healthy snakes?

Hmm... On my side of the tally...

I've lost 2 mature female eastern garters, all captive bred.
One of them had been feeding almost exlusively on worms, the other two ate a variety of mice, canadian night crawlers, rosy reds, and tilapia. They were cooled from about 85 to 72, then to 65 over a week's period. They were then placed in a well-ventilated container in a corner of the basement and were soon to be moved to the upstairs fridge. I blame the cause of death on low environmental humidity, seeing as they had access to a large water bowl.
This makes me think... Would it be enough to provide a humid hide for our garters? Instead of increasing the overall humidity?

Well, some of the losses haven't been brumation related, such as Shannon's or Reed's, although the main topic between both of these has been humidity...
