Re: is Raising feeder mice for you?

I have one momma mouse, she's "retired" now that was a biter from hell.

She went out of her way to bite.

Prolly cuz I kept stealing her children.

She still gets taken care of, she provided me with snake food for almost a year. So I let her have a "retirement"

You are nicer than me Wayne My retired breeder are simply known as xl feeder mice. I couldnt begin to keep retired rodents as pets, I have already retired hundreds of them.

Re: is Raising feeder mice for you?

She was the first mouse I ever bought for this purpose.

Most mothers get fed off or sold to the pet store before they are 6 months old.

Funny thing is, the closest she ever got to a name was "top mom"

She always had BIG litters, never "culled" a single baby, she has been a true "top mom" so she gets to live out her days comfortably.

Hell she even fed other moms babies, and was a great "foster" mom whenever I had problems with other mice.

all in all, she's earned her keep.

I've gone out and bought a suit of armor with full face mask, steel mesh gloves, tongs, a lance, a large club, a cattle prod, and some purple socks (well, they were cute.) I'm ready to tackle the rats. LOL

Don't be silly, Kyle. Why, that would be overkill. And I don't want to look rediculous, now, do I?
