just a cleaning thing....my garters used to do it a lot after eating slugs...get slime all over....

I don't have any garters "yet" and my gophers and kings do the same thing, I attributed it to the resetting of the jaw. Garters cleaning the face that sound likely to. It would discourage fights.

Mine do that all the time. In fact, since they're being unusually picky eaters lately, if I dangle food in front of their nose and they don't want it, they'll even wipe their face all over as if trying to get the smell of the offensive food off them!
