Just to keep you all updated.....I've got my slate floors in the new vivs now. They just need the doors (which are coming on Thursday), and then furnishings (hides etc.) Almost there!

What do you want to know? It's just roofing slate, cemented in and pointed up. The heat cable is underneath.

I've done it for years, mainly for ease of cleaning and aesthetics.

With great skill and artistic flair!

I use a slate axe. I'm lucky I guess in so much as through my work I have such tools to hand, plus I always have surplus materials hanging around.
