Re: The Offical how old are you thread :D

OK maybe I'm a real "Geek" but the thing that attracted me the most to a Commodore 64 was the card slot on the back....

I would sit and "breadboard" home brew circuits and use a ribbon cable to control all sorts of things from the CPU.

Purchased a surplus Helium neon laser tube (Very expensive then, no such thing as a laser pointer yet) and use my PC to spin mirrors connected to motors...

Home brew laser show in the 80's.....

I remember the Atari, and the Tandy...

Bonus points if anyone can remember the exclusive dealer of Tandy PCs

Yeah, I really didn't do much with my Atari. My games usually amounted to computerized Ad Libs I was a girl So you filled in a name, a noun, a whatever and the computer told you who you liked, how many kids you were going to have, where you were going to live... lol... lots of cute little stories... yeah, maybe that's why I never became a programmer... cause grandpa went for the atari instead of the commodore & I was stifled... yeah, that's it! LOL

Of course, I had a magic 8 ball... for a minute there I thought you were talking about something else and I was thinking you must be quite a bit older than me! LOL I was 12! No 8 balls on the rural central california coast! LOL

No Lava Lamp, tho... maybe you are older than me

Ok, had to go back and look.... you got 6 years on me... so when I was playing home made girly games on my Atari, you were 18 and into much more interesting things!
