    Woo hoo, Just got back from the pet store, traded a tote full of my surplus mice for the following.

    feeder fishies
    crickets
    a big bag of mouse food.

    The owner was very pleased with my quality stock, and the timing was perfect, she was almost out of mice.

    Since I traded for store credit, I got more than I would have in cash

    Time to up production

    six colonies going now.

    Each tote has 2 females and a male.

    I use frozen pinks, so I never "slaughter" until at least hopper stage.

    But if I can sell live mice for twice what frozen ones cost me, I really should not have to kill them at all anymore.

    and that's OK with me

    Trade for food and bedding, then they cost nothing to produce at all
