Mice go nuts over the smell of chocolate. That's pretty much the best bait I've tested.

I can't find my filthin' farthin' live trap.... if I have to go spend $15 to catch this $5 meal I'm going to be a wee bit peeved. LOL I can't believe he fits under the tiny gap under that enclosure. I never would have guessed it.

Got 'im!! Her, actually. Hubby and I decided we were smarter than the average rat and we could certainly catch her.

In the end, it really was no big deal at all! Hubby's toe isn't even broken, I doubt my bite wounds will get infected, and nothing got smashed that isn't replaceable...

Let's just say that it has never been a concern when I've placed out traps.

    Only a few times.

I don't know what the hell happens to the rats at this particular store.... but I've gotten 9 from there all together and they are absolutely PETRIFIED of people. I haven't been able to make friends with any of them.

I think this particular girl earned a reprieve. She was refused by Squiggles the first night... then got out of her tank and survived a week loose in my house, then fought tooth and nail to not be caught. She has earned her freedom!!!
