    Re: Sticking Keys

Thank you all for your input! I never dreamed I'd receive such info!

Last I read at Office Max the dishwasher ones specifically said so on the box...

I'm on here so much and this computer is about 3-4 years old... I bet I've way exceeded by 10,000,000 hits. Some of the letters on the keys are worn away and my thumb has worn a 'dip' into the space bar.

Any non-"multimedia" keyboards, i.e. keyboards with about 102-105 keys grouped in a traditional manner?

I looked over the offerings, and most are 107 keys and up.

Excluding that Little numeric USB pad.

I'm with you, Stefan. I like the plain, old run o'the mill keyboards.

I currently use the most basic form of keyboard there is, but it's very old. Old enough to require an adapter. I have two other that I'm not using because they don't have the right keys in the right places, which is a bit annoying when you're used to not looking at the keyboard. And they've got bad ergonomics and the keys are the wrong shape and they feel wrong.

My next keyboard will probably have to be a Das Keyboard.

EEK - Maybe I have a warped brain but I got that one.

My personal favorite was a very nice professional lady who is respected in her community and nice looking to boot.

She asked me specifically to back up ALL of her pictures, well part of the backing up process is to verify and check the backup.

There were dozens of pictures that were, well "unrated" and "off the chain" of herself.

It was really weird when I returned her tower after the fact

Once she realized that I had seen her darkest secrets, she was too embarrassed to ever call again...

For $5 I'll let you see them

(Absolutely not, just joking... gone, Didn't keep any copies. I am professional and would never violate a customers trust.)
