    Bike Helmet Hide

As it was leaving my hand towards the trashcan it dawned on me that this would make a great snake hide. Roomy, insulated and vented. The vents can be enlargened to suit the snake size. Lot of peek holes. Cheap to buy at a yard sale, thrift store or go get the ones hanging in the shed. Cut off the straps, cut a entrance and there you go. What more could a Radixs want. Here's what it looks like in our Lucky's birthing enclosure.

It didn't take her long to find a place to watch from. Sorry for the poor focas. Camera not happy today.

    great idea
Mikhaila's helmet just got chewed up by a cockatoo
since the bird already started picking off the plastic shell, it'll be easy enough to just strip it to the styrofoam

Great idea! I love stuff like this! I'm convinced that these guys appreciate(maybe not the right word... make use of?) anything new in their enclosure. I'm starting to think of it more like enrichment, like they do at the zoo

VERY creative! Me, I'd spray that sucker with Great Stuff foam and make it look like a rock... but then, I'm a little addicted to Great Stuff lately. :-) Great idea!!!!

That would look awesome! It wouldn't hurt them in any way?
