    I don't think they've decided whether to euth or not... I hope not. It's not the snake's fault, is it, for being a snake. This animal control is only about an hour and a half from me... I'll talk to them tomorrow. Hopefully they will let the snake be turned over to a reputable rescue...

    Agreed. It's tragic... and it's a huge reminder to all of us to remain respectful of our snakes. They are still snakes, no matter how much we love them; they run on instinct, not emotion!

    Much like hognoses, racers, pine snakes, eastern milks, prairie kings and various natricines, sand boas are also on my wish list. The big snake species aren't.

    Wow, that story is crazy- and sad. I would love to have a retic someday, but I know I cant handle one on my own.

    I do have a few Kenyan sand boas though. A pair of albinos and a normal.
