ok one more question...
sorry if i am annoying... lol I am learning.
I need to know more feeding choices... my snakes aren't big.
I already feed them: night crawlers, pinkies, & the slugs*wayne sent*
minnows, what else can I get? now are minnows small? do you just put them in the water dish?
thanks in advance.

Tilapia, salmon, trout and pinky pieces for the garter. You can put live fish in the water dish.
Don't know about dekayi, what else they eat besides slugs and worms.

Slugs and worms are the total diet for DeKayi to the best of mt knowledge. JV garters I use live guppies, worms and pinkie parts.Mine all do just fine.

My Dekayi snakes have thrived on slugs and worms, refused all other offerings.

I am thinking to put all the garters in one 10 gal tank & keep the dekayi's in the same tank that I have already.
Now Wayne, where can I get.... slugs? besides outside. We haven't had rain in months, we just got some, so do you think I could find any? under logs, leaves?
Thanks

Under things is the only place this time of year. Early mornings and dusk is best.
When it gets hot during the day they go down below the surface.
If dew still falls at night, I find them out in the open, however lately it has been frosty cold out at night, so dusk and dawn are best.
I'll see if I can forward a few more along with your snakies.
