I went on vacation out of the country two weeks ago and tomorrow I leave to go back home. I took my collection of tarantulas to an experienced keeper to babysit them and left my boyfriend with my herps. He has our bearded dragon, red-eye tree frogs, garter snake, fish, and northern leopard frog.
I talked to my boyfriend tonight and he told me my garter snake died. I don't know what happened. I've had two of my beloved animals die while I've been on vacation. My first and favorite tarantula died of old age and my baby garter. I'm so heartbroken.
I was so looking forward to coming home to my baby and seeing how much bigger he got while I was away, but that's not happening now I guess.

Oh, that's rough. Loosing an animal while you're not there to absolutely know what went on is always a bad time. So sorry for your loss.
