I like first because it's clearer, in better focus, and seems to fit the contest rules perfectly. The second, obviously taken moments after, to me is just more appealing, but not as in focus and not as obvious that he's peeking out, even though that's exactly what he's doing. Coming out of hide to check out the camera Whatcha think?

Well, lately he prefers hiding to peeking Between the fast food cup holder hide and the carefresh I almost never see him anymore. He really loves the carefresh, but I see his tunnels are empty now. Must be under the cup holder Not quite time for him to self-brumate, but I guess we're getting close. The babies don't hide and peek too much, they're either hidden or out Now Ella peeks, but she also tries to eat me when I get near the tank. I think the camera would totally stress her out! For now, I'm stuck with what I've got

I'm really torn
I know I probably have some older peeking pics, that are prettier, but right before the theme was announced, my three oldest garter ladies, who grew up together, just got moved back in together after many months, and they're peeking out of their (now much bigger) hide just they way they did when they were babies . . .
oh heck - given the previous entries, I don't have a chance in hell anyway
