Let's just say elapids in general.

You've been watching the videos on YouTube, right?

No, my PC doesn't seem to like youTube (always freezes up). I speak from experience.

    Cool Re: Why Garter Snakes?

    Why gartersnakes?

They were, some 35 years ago, my first snakes I fell in love with. And your first love... you know what they say.

On my job I take care of all kinds of reptiles etc, like Pantherophis, Lampropeltis, Pythons, Boa's, Monitors, Iguana's, Caimans, Mississippialligators, etc. etc.
But nothing beats the garter snakes when I come home.

I agree Fons, over the years I have cared for countless species of reptiles, but there is something very special about Garters. They weren't my first snake, but they will always be my favourite.

    Re: Why Garter Snakes?

They were the first snakes I owned...(20 years ago...) and at the time I was looking for something I could handle, and something that wouldn't get too big so that I would be scared of it........and then I found out that there were more types......different colours...different behaviours... oh I was off
