    Update

Going to show off and give an update on snakes that I got from forum members. Beautiful Oregon red spotted female, she has really grown. I think I might be over feeding her though, she's getting chunky.

Male Puget sound, more aqua than blue. Very healthy appetite and always seems to be thinking about reproducing. I have great hopes for him and my female next spring.

And of course I have to show my female puget. She is a true blue puget, though I can't get the camera to do her justice.

Gorgeous snakes. I really like the orange-spotted. Nice!

is that the red spot from me?
if so she looks just like the sister I kept
    the pugets look good too
isn't it weird how those blues are so hard to capture on film?

I hate trying to photograph pugets... I don't ever want to post photos of mine because the colors are just not as amazing.

Nice snakes!! 2 of my favs!

Yes she is and she is a beauty. Her red/orange is getting brighter with every shed. I need to get a photo of the baby you sent with her, his red is spreading too and he was the first baby to start eating whole pinks. Monster appetite. I love them both, thanks so much for trading with me!

The camera just doesn't show the blue that we see, the puget's blue is actually almost a dark blue and yet it doesn't show that on any photo I've ever taken of them. I know on the Cali's photos it doesn't come close to showing the blue on them, they are almost unreal looking. Taking the photo under florescent lights seems to help, but even that doesn't give a photo that shows their true colors.

Maybe we ought to keep a running topic for tips on taking good photos since we as a group seem to be into photography to one degree or another. Just an idea.

They're beautiful Tori! Are those rat pinks they're eating?

    Re: Update

Actually, those are wet mouse fuzzies. Being wet helps the snakes get them down quicker I think.

On a different topic, I have changed my Web site again to keep a running diary of the work we will be doing on the new house and (of course) a section that covers our pets. We move into the house on the 28th of this month and photos will begin immediately. Especially photos of new cages since I will have more room and can then give them all bigger cages. Ignore the name of the site, I've had it for over 12 years now and it has been many different things but I've always kept the same domain name. I've just gotten started on the changes so don't expect a lot yet. index

    Re: Update

That makes sense... they looked too big and plump to be mice pinks, but I hadn't even thought of wet fuzzies

Very nice website! Love the dragons... and your high yellow eastern! I'll try to remember to check for updates on the house, but don't hesitate to remind us!

    Re: Update

Our dragons freeroam 24/7 and have for years now. I am worried about "lizard proofing" the house we are moving into. It's an old house, so there will be lots of escape routes that I will have to find and fix before I feel safe. The house is a REAL fixer-upper, with lots of cosmetic damage, but structurally good. And cost will come into it as we decide what has to be fixed first. To me the reptiles and their safety comes first. Looks aren't anywhere near as important.
