Nice picture of the vole Stefan. Did you find that other pond pic? The one with the frogs?

Sorry, I could have sworn that I had a picture of that pond, but I was wrong.

Never mind! Tomorrow I'm driving south to a place I know...hoping to collect a pair of Grass Snakes. If all goes well I should have some pictures to post!

There didn't used to be any tadpoles in that pond until 4 or 5 years ago. The problem with that pond is that there's normally nothing to eat there, so the frogs don't develop in time. Fortunately they'll eat anything.

Throw some fish food in Stefan!!

I dump in that pond whatever seaweeds I accidentally catch when I'm fishing and that seems to be enough for the tadpoles. I didn't do it a couple of years back (as an experiment) and the tadpoles didn't even develop legs before winter came.

There was supposed to be a nice big doe in that last picture, but the bugger ran off. =P
