    Feeder platies.

Just checked out an old fish store in town; and I realized they offer feeder PLATIES for sale as well as guppies, goldfish, and rosies.
So if anyone's interested in starting their own food supply with good stock, please message me!

Relative of the guppy that grows to about 3x their size with more "meat."

That is cool... and I take it they're as easy to raise and breed as guppies?

Mix a little instant ocean or table salt with water and they do great.

cool... I'm hoping I won't have any exclusive fish eaters but wouldn't mind raising feeders if needed. Always good to know which reproduce well and are good for our garters For an occasional treat it's just easier to buy a few for the snakes to chase around the water dish

Platies are not as easy to breed as guppies, but also kind of carps.
They are rich of thiaminase and only good food when fed as fresh as possible.
