I'm getting checkereds, FINALLY!

Checkered garters are awesome looking. Normals, as well as albinos. I'd say the albino checkered garter is by far the most common garter I've seen advertised online and/or at local herp shows.

Some day I want some Checkereds, I changed my mind about the albinos, they are pretty, but the inbreeding and poor overall heath of the specimens sold, scares me away from them.

Albino Checkered garters are "mass produced" like lab mice, inbred to the point of snakes that are quite unhealthy.

There's a reason they are cheap, and too common.

Normal Checkereds are just so much more attractive than albinos, anyway!

I do like some albinos, but the normal Checkereds are just outstanding! In fact, albino Checkereds are the only albinos I really, really don't like looking at!

Aww, but I like my albino checkereds. They're from separate bloodlines so when I breed them next year we can expect the best.
Normal checkereds are some of my faves too though. I like the green and black. ^^

Congrats on getting Checkereds. I have 4 Albinos,8 Checkereds and 13 baby het albinos. Checkereds are nice looking.
