Why Do Garters....?

Keep rubbing the sides of their mouths on rocks, their water dish, etc...
Any idea why they do this?

actually i have noticed this too but usually only after they have fed and i have been wondering this too

yes that is possible but i have also seen it from george a few days after she shed

it could be to get off dirt or slime from a feeding

I have noticed this behavior at both instances: after feeding and before shedding.

You can observe this behavior in any situation.
It is how to clean your mouth without hands!
