They are very alert at night. Also really attracted to motion and will come to the front glass if I stand close to their cage. Their heat sensors are also very good and can find a small spot of bare skin with good accuracy. I have found that out many times when handling them with gloves and a long sleeve shirt. They can find the gap between the glove and sleeve very well.

Amen to the heat sensors!
I was photographing my halloween phase and he was striking very accurately at the lamp.

And the a few days later. I was cleaning cages and my orange was acting pretty docile. But then I sighed and I guess breathed over him and he instantly struck at the heat! lol! Very fun little snakes!

lol i wouldn't want a snake that i had to wear gloves to handle but those are VERY pretty!!!!!

I don't use gloves to handle mine. I just know how to not get bit. Haven't yet!! And I free handle them. As long as I keep them aiming at my face, keep that out of range. They don't have time to bite my hands. lol!

But I DO use gloves to handle the TX rats. THOSE will tear you to peices if you aren't fully covered. So I don't free handle them, I just restrain them behind the head.
