    Which leads me to believe that eye sight may override sense of smell occasionally in snakes.

    Well... little Mister Dekays still has not eaten anything... but the good news is, I had him in a small container over night that had paper toweling and water in it in hopes to rehydrate him. That worked, his back end no longer looks sickeningly depressed and he looks exactly like a mini dekay's now. he's a little more spunky too!

    eyesight absoultey overrides smell in snakes that see well. Ra, my king rat snake... acts purely on sight when it is food time.

    If i flutter my hand near his cage like a bird... his eyes turn into little slits and he SHOOTS out of his hide with his mouth wide open!!! tries eating me like you would not beleive

    There i was talking about my king rat snake.... he is 6 feet long... worms are not a very practical food for them
