    It was a fuzzy, right?
Sometimes my corn snakes and my albino checkered will do this; digest the flesh and spit up the hair.

Yep, it was fuzzy. Actually three of them. Was it too much? (a yearling radix). I don't normally give her so much food, but my mum was melting our freezer so I had to use all the rodents (three fuzzys) I had. Didn't believe she would eat them all, but she did, and she looked like she was willing to eat even more of them. And she didn't even look too big after eating them.

How big or old is a fuzzy? I always go by weight, so I have no idea how big a fuzzy, crawler or hopper is, for example. My '07 snakes have been taking ~2 week old / 4-6g mice for months, without any problems like that.

Have you measured your snake lately, Anthon? How big is your radix now?

it just looks like poo to me. my Checkereds do it every so often where not everything get digested and it comes out hairy. my 2 checkereds are both doing fine.

    Stefan
    fuzzies are 5-7g

I've noticed that some of my snakes need to "adjust" to certain new foods
such as when they get rat for the first time, some seem to have trouble fully digesting them, and their poop smells just horrible and can have slicks of not quite digested matter (pink stuff) in it
when I continue feeding rat, it goes away, so I'm theorizing that there's some enzyme that is needed at higher levels for the metabolizing of rat and they catch up once their digestive system has been exposed

    Okay, thanks.

It makes sense that some enzyme or microbe that would need to be "adjusted" to a new kind of food. Humans have the same problem sometimes, when they switch from one diet to another, but that's often a much more drastic change, than simply from mouse to rat.
