The email I got said they were "glasswing butterflies" from Central America and they range from Mexico to Panama. I haven't done any research yet to find out more. Stunning huh?

Stunning indeed!
We'll be visiting a couple of butterfly conservatories this summer (on our new,condensed vacation plan!) and I'm going to look for those. If I don't find them, I'll definitely put in a suggestion.

got a call on 2 injured birds today....they were fledglings, just learning to fly, so I took some photos.....
one sitting on a chair on their patio, the other in the bushes...and not happy!!

I'm not sure....the guy said they are pergrines...not sure about that...we have a number of hawk species here.
