    New snakes

Okay, I am pretty knowledgable about exotic snakes but I know barely anything about native species (I live in Nova Scotia). I just caught a neonate Garter snake two days ago and two juveniles (?) yesterday. I was wondering what is the best thing to feed them? I was also wondering if they will take pinkies? I have a corn snake also and although he eats hoppers, I can get pinkies at the same place. I read that they'll eat earthworms and salamanders too...If anyone has any info or suggestions that would be great.

    Re: New snakes

For little neonates, small fish, chopped night crawlers, tiny earthworms, and cut up fish & pinkie parts are all acceptable foods.

The little fish and worms however are easiest, and quite effective.
