    New snakes & pics galore.

Okay... so... went to the hamburg show yesterday! I don't have much in the way of garters to show you, but I picked up a lovely group of ball pythons that I wouldjsut love to share with you all! after these following pictures, I am going to be copy/pasting my post about all the baby balls from Reptastic.

and the day before that, my new male florida blue eastern came in, and so did my hypo FL water snake, also a male. No pics of them water snake yet, but here is the amazing male blue:

Thought I'd share this pic for enjoyment. I guess she is tired of carrying her own weight in babies around!

here's another cute and sort of creepy shot

While i was here i figured I would post some pictures of ChickChick. He is a blue jay that was knocked out of his nest as a far smaller baby and me and my mom have been raising him together. We watched before we took him in to see if his parents were feeding him, but they were not. He has been feeding on baby bird formula, and is now starting to peck at things, including peanut butter from my finger, and he also enjoys nightcrawlers cut into four pieces. We let him outside last week... he can fly for the most part but he's not ready... he came back out of the trees... so here's ChickChick!!

So, ever since I got my little Splat, I must say that I have really taken a liking to ball pythons. I am and will always be a garter snake person, but I sure do like ball pythons!!! Yesterday was the Hamburg reptile show, and there were, as i expected, a ton of baby BP's. This was what I was hoping for... I wanted to take the cream of the crop for a reduced pattern project in the future... if ntohing else I wanted to pick out Splat's future mate.

Here is my ball python collection as of now! All 10 are being house in a boamaster rack. Only 2 of them, the biggest fattest ones, did not feed yesterday after I set them up and left them alone for a few hours.

Here is the latest picture of splat... she is getting so big so fast!!! and I love her spidery pattern!

    This is her belly

Next up we have BP number 1: A very feisty little snake!

Next up is the first snake I picked up, I originally chose him as Splat's future mate!! He has a very nice reduced pattern, he is a captive hatched baby.

Next is the most expensive addition from yesterday. This is a Male yellowbelly (het ivory) from a proven line. He has an added bonus though... odd facial markings! I forget whether it was this snake or his brother, but all babies from a breeding of a snake with these facial markings inherited them also!! pretty neat huh?!?! He's a real looker too... very beautiful yellows.

Next was this little guy that stood out from all of the other babies he was with. I picked him/her for the huge amounts of black patterning and brown blushing. The coloration over all on this snake is also a little darker and oranger than most BP's. And when I got it home and flipped it over... I was pleasantly surpised to find a striped belly!!!

Last but certainly not least... is this adorable little one. He has some wonderful markings on him! As you can see, he has a face that is anything but normal. Also, one side of his face has a spot behind his eye, whereas the other side is a stripe! Not to mention the yellow and black banding across his nose!!! He needs a name!

    look at that face!!!

very neat belly.. much of it has a stripe running down the center, it's a little washed out in the photo.

Well, that is it! I hope you enjoyed all these pictures... I am going to really enjoy watching them all grow!!! I would really love to see some comments on all these guys... let me know what you think!! There are a ton of super fancy expensive BP morphs out there... but I am most fond of the normals with special patterns!!

Nice photos and very beautiful animals. The first one is my favourite, though.
