    Pet Shopping

Well, I took a stroll to one of the pet store chains to get a few things and make live more natural for my Eastern. I can see the 10 gallon I had on hand is going to need to be upgraded soon.

I thought I'd share my progress (and hers) with you all.

She didn't care to be disturbed! I haven't gotten bitten by her yet, but if intent could kill, I'd be a gonner! How hard can Garters bite?

Larger Garters can draw blood. But usually I find if you're not looking, you don't know they bit you!

I've rarely been bitten by my Garters, but when it does happen, I have to say rather painless in my opinion.

She looks quite happy with her new set up Lump

I re-did my garter's tank this weekend with a nice driftwood basking spot that I thought he'd love. It's in the same place in the tank as where he used to lie on top of his fake plants. Well, he got up there once. I came his way with the camera, it spooked him for some reason(never had a problem with me at the tank or the camera before?), he tried to take off and his back end fell off the driftwood, and he hasn't been up there since... sigh... I'm guessing he was a little spooky from the change of scenery and then felt too exposed up there? dunno... hopefully he'll finish checking out the new set up at some point...

Oh. Because you know, it seems to me that, aside
from being a little mentally ill, she's pretty normal.

well, wouldn't you be grumpy if you were carrying practically your own body weight around in your tummy? Haha, my gravid female cornsnake is due to lay anyday. She is the nicest snake in the world, but the past week she is downright nasty, i cant get anywhere near her without her trying to bite.
