Based on these latest pictures, I'd like to say Butler's, but it's possible that it's just because I was wrong about the other one.
High stripe, almost no neck, practically no supralabial markings..

Either way, it's a beautiful snake.

Okay guys, this Butler's thing has been mentioned too many times........I'm not really supposed to keep a Butler's so could we just pretend it's a plain old sirtalis??? Not that anyone would get him away from me now without a fight...

    Re: The snakes are out!!!!

    Oh, by the way,
we have officially named our new snake! When I got home from work tonight, and looked in on him (I have determined it's a him) I found a ten-gallon tank of devastation.
The water dish was full of aspen, and the remaining aspen, which was partly full of water, was piled up in the middle of the tank, and the hide I had put in was pushed over almost on it's side! The only things not touched were the rocks (thank goodness!)
I don't know what the hell he was up to all day, but after seeing that, he has been named Twister.
And here I thought he was so calm and gentle............

    Re: The snakes are out!!!!

Wow, I think most everyone has their garters out by now. :P
Took another trip to the snake area today, and I think there are two dens in the vicinity. Caught around 20 snakes but didn't keep any. :P
    Found only 3-4 females. :O
Also, after picking up a female then setting her down, then finding a male a few feet away, I put them next to each other and came back a few minutes later to find them going at it. XD Pics soon. :P
