    Tiki helping me herp, lol

Someone lost their head... this was probably some poor hunting beagle left to starve or shot. No bullet hole in the skull tho.

It was a nice walk even tho I didn't see any snakes. Maybe when it warms up a bit more. :-)

Not sure what critter lives here. There were many of these mounds right next to our creek. Any ideas?

Voles or shrews. Probably. My guess is the latter.

My guess was Cave Trolls, either that or Lori just stuck her finger in the soil and made the hole!

Then you would have made the same mistake I did; I pulled the alternatives from our local fauna.

LOL-- cave trolls, yes, I thought that too, but I believe Kyle must be right on. :-) I couldn't think of what would make mud burrows, now I'll have to go look more carefully for crayfish!! Thanks Kyle!!

Sid, I never knew what those huge beetles were called-- here they're usually called chicken food if they don't run fast enough, lol... Unk beetles. Cool.

Bess beetles, patent leather beetles, etc. Usually sell on the 'net for $4-5 dollars. Each.
