Tuesday till Tuesday seems like odd days to me....... I think that flights from Europe might be easier/cheaper from weekend till weekend.

Re: Thamnophis.com World Meeting
I would come, with a parent or both, maybe a friend. I would like February vacation 16-24, but that isn't good season, so Late June to somewhere in Mid-August. It would be fun, what about Florida. NC would be nice though, 8 hour drive, and parents take care of money. I would go, just need to know the date like 2 months before it happens. If I bring my family it would be 3 or 4 people, depending on my sister. My sister and mom likes lizards, my dad likes lizards, but has had breed garter snakes in captivity before.

what about easter?
or does that make travel more pricey?
it's just sort of a good time of year and most kids get vacations

That might be a bit early for good herping. What do you think Sid? I haven't done much herping myself in your neck of the woods.

Snakes can be found here and around the coast as early as Easter. However, the ground temps at that point are often not consistently high enough for field trips to be great.
Again for my part, while I do look forward to herping with all from the forum that can come, the primary objective is the meeting. So, keep the input on dates coming and we will see what is best for the majority.
James, could you start another poll to help track the best date?? Might prove helpful to us in the planning stage .
