    Re: Simon the corn snake

He's very nice! I was just down at the reptile store this evening and I'm definitely feeling a little needy for a new snake. Unfortunately, they are all a little too pricey for me right now so I'll just look longingly at everyone else's pics........

    Re: Simon the corn snake

Weeeelllll.............. the particular snakie that I was checking out was called a "Leuko-something or other (leukocystic?leukonistic?) Bug-eyed Rat Snake". She was this beautiful creamy beige colour, and her eyes were bubble shaped like a goldfish. They were asking $179.99.
I can't justify that at the moment, although I may be underhanded enough to see if my kids "want" to buy her with their Christmas money........

Yeah for some reason all the American pricing seems to be ridiculously low. It's not like our stock is imported so it really doesn't make sence! That's why I want to know what kind of pricing Anji found

Lol, I think the word you're looking for is leucistic. Leucistic means the critter has reduced pigmentation (but not a complete lack of pigmentation which would be albino).
I googled "bug eyed rat snake" and here's a pic of a majorly buggy rat snake!
A regular leucistic texas rat snake.
    And one more. Purty

Check out this Paradox leucistic eastern garter snake

Of all the leucistic snakes out there, this is the one I dream about...

Ok, this is o.t., but you gotta see all these racks! Can you imagine?

    Re: Simon the corn snake

Thanks for the right word! I was more involved ogling the snake than paying attention to what the name actually was!!!!
But that picture is definitely it-- although this one wasn't as white, more beige.
    OHHH, I so want one...........
