James, In State Parks or reserves it will be illegal to take or molest anything. This even include plants and rocks. Outside of reserves and state run parks, I am not aware of any restrictions. My response is based on a one on one conversation with a NC DNR officer. I'll be going back up to the general area you have planned in April and will try to get more details to be certain.

Well, you've got more than a year to do that. You are travelling from the Netherlands? I think Kuno (Jewel-Dragons) is trying to arrange a discount fare for all our Dutch members to fly together.

Ok, been out of the loop for a while (job and such taking up too much time) but this is sounding really cool. I am SO in on this. I haven't done much herping in the Carolinas (except for the OutBanks area) and to do it with a bunch of garterheads is so very cool.

What is it with these camp sites, that they won't answer their e-mail?
Maybe they're all closed for Christmas. Or maybe I shouldn't have mentioned snakes!

It gives us over a year to save for it. I hope we get a good turn-out. I'll certainly be there!
