    did u know that here in the phillipines a adult common garter snake only cost 4 dollars each or less

    Oh O_o It's not expensive! In France they cost 20 - 25 euro minimum (or 30 - 36 dollars) !

    About the cheapest I find T. s sirtalis around here is $10 US. Did once buy a pair of JV Oregon Red-spotted for $5 each.

    Hey well at least they sell them where you live. The only Thamnophis here are ribbon snakes, and you have to catch those.

    maybe you should post a pic of them.
    There is a kind of Asian snake, thats called Garter Snake too, but is no Thamnophis.

    ohhh sure ill post it as soon as i bought it.. ill go to the pet shop today to check it out..but it seems that its positive that its a garter because it has a stipes from head to tail and its harmless too.maybe

    I wonder if it'll be an Indonesian garter snake (Xenochrophis sp). They have white bellies with black dots along the sides of the belly scales (ventrals).
