Personally, I wouldn't even touch sick looking animals with a shovel. Too scared of diseases.

yes i think thats why the guy in the pet shop didn't want to risk it, but after selling quite few snakes lately, we have room to keep them separate from anything else and just see.

our rescued gecko never got fat, but she's healthy

did her tail ever fatten? these are still quite young only about 3 inches

her tail only has a very slight bulge - she's quite thin still

Yes, they should grow back. But it won't necessarily look as good as the original.
