Concerning food

I have been doing my research for getting a garter snake and I was wondering if I could feed Silver Sides and Night Crawlers?

But would that give them all they need?

Also how much should I feed them and how long do I wait to feed them again?

Is a gallon big enough for a adult?

An adult garter snake should have as much room as you can provide. Nightcrawlers and silverside are great food. So is frozen/thawed pinky mice. Post up a photo showing the relative size of your snake. Garters are a high-performance little snake. Fast metabolism, requiring regular feedings.
