    Re: Whats cooking?

I'm a lil late but 2 weeks ago I had a litter of 21 healthy babies. No stills or slugs. The pairing was (F) B&w axanthic x (M) Snow 100% het blue axanthic. All babies are normals 100% het B&w axanthic, albino, anery and 66% het blue axanthic. These babies have tons if potential!! I believe in my heart a new morph will be produced from the mixing of b&w x albino. I'm holding the whole litter back and breeding every one of them unless I'm super male heavy lol I have been doing this pairing for almost 3 years now and have always got slugs except 2 years ago I paired b&w x albino and got 4.4 and sadly all 4 males died so I sold 2 females and held onto 2. Next season I plan to breed the male hets to them. Fingers crossed for a new morph...

These babies will produce all morphs mentioned above plus snows and blizzards. That's 6 morphs! (If you count the possibility of a new morph lol)

    Re: Whats cooking?

Most of the babies had an extremely thin sack or popped out already out of the sack. First time I've had that happen. Usually they are born with a sack they have to break out of and sometimes bleed where it was attached but I think if these guys stayed in a day longer they all would have died. She was gravid for 67 days. Its the longest any of my garters went. Most have their litter 55-62 days

Thanks Eddie. I find them in the woods. I have 12 of them now. Mostly box turtles 2 are mud turtles. I use those for babies.
