    Third litter born!!
The genetics are tricky on this one but I will do my best. Going in the mother is 100% het melanistic, 50% het Schuett snow, 50% het Florida blue albino, 50% het Alexander anery and possible het silver. The father is 50% het Schuett snow, 50% het Florida blue albino, 50% het Alexander anery and possible het silver. The results are 4 albino's born and 23 normal looking multi hets. The albinos all appear to be T negative Florida blue making me believe that the Schuett line did not show up. Some of the normal looking hets are variable leading me to believe that the oddly patterned ones might darken up over time from conversations I've had with Shawn who is quite familiar with the line. It appears to me that the female ended up being !00% Florida albino and the male was also. That makes the normal looking babies, 66% het Florida blue albino, 50% het melanistic, Possible het Schuett snow, possible het Alexander anery and small shot at possible het silver. I love this time of year!!!

Grats! It's nice starting out with those quad and multi het possible het animals. You can always count on getting a lot of variance in the litter. My condolences for the loss of the males in coming out of brumation.

Sweet eddie congrats! I can't wait to see what the fl albino and the melanistic combos will produce! I see clean white snows for the near future! Imagine a world with clean white snow easterns, fl albino flames, and erythristic fl albinos! I can't wait man! I hope this year is going to be a comeback for FL albinos and the Alexander anery I have 2 gravid females to drop sometime in may!

Congrats Ed. I think that the best chance of producing a clean white snow would be the combo of melanistic and florida albino. The fact that you didn't make any melanistics in that litter makes it likely that one or both of the parents are NOT het melanistic unfortunately. Sadly odds are at least one of the parents isn't silver either, but I hope that at least one of the parents is het silver so the gene is still hiding out in that litter waiting to surprise you or someone later. Do you have any more chances to make silvers this spring?

The mother is 100% het Melanistic. The father was just a poss het and did not prove out. I am expecting 4 more litters from her sisters that were bred to the brothers so I should at least get Melanistics. Possibly snows. Not sure just yet. Time will tell. LOL

I guess i'm like steve with his radix, lol! For some reason easterns are harder to reproduce and some of the morphs like the silver seam to be weaker than average babies. I still love them! Ed i hope you produce hundreds of goldens and maybe even some silvers and leucistics and send some my way, lol!
Never saw this until now, what I meant by bland is barely anyone is producing anything and the amazing morphs are all currently huddled into 2-3 peoples mostly private collections. There's tons going on with them but nothing available lol.

Even mels and quality flames are super hard to find compared to 5-10 years ago. Nobody has any dirty snow easterns anymore, silver is mostly gone, Leucistics the same thing. Goldens are all currently with 2-3 people, same with Anery. I want to own them all but they just aren't available lol.
