Hi, there, as you may have guessed, I am from Germany and recently got into garter snakes
I got a T.radix that is about 19 inches right now at approximately 4-5 months and really seems to enjoy her stay with me.
She's housed in an 80 gallon (sorry if I get the sizes wrong, I am not used to American measurements and have to guesstimate from what i remember about them) tank with many hides, moss and enough room to climb and swim.
And I joined the forum to get a little bit of first hand information about garters, because in Europe, garters are often overlooked by snake keepers in favour of corns or ballpythons.
So I am looking forward to talking to you guys and girls

Welcome to the forum. Garters are even less appreciated here than Germany believe it or not. Hopefully that changes one day.
