Baby tears and spider plants for terrarium?

    Hi,

Are baby tears and spider plants alright for a garter snake terrarium?

I didn't do an exhaustive search of both but I also didn't see any red flags up for either plant.

They are not just snakes. They're garter snakes.

I've used spider plants for a number of species without issue.

    Thanks.

I got a spider plant and a peperomia ginny.

Peperomias seem fine according to this general article, but I don't know if it can be trusted: Plants for Terrariums With Reptiles and Amphibians

    Any thoughts.

I also found compacta janet craig (a dracaena). Someone recommended dracaenas in another thread but they seem a bit harder to care for or more specific in their needs. Also is it hard to keep their size under control (will they eventually outgrow a terrarium)?

I guess that last question also applies to the peperomia since I don't know these plants....

    Peperomia is fine.

I realize you're in Canada and probably wouldn't be ordering plants online anyway, but it wouldn't hurt to browse this site too. Anything on here is more than safe.

I use dracaenas and they seem totally fine with me, I haven't had any die since I got them months ago and they haven't really grown at all for whatever reason. They have survived adult garters climbing them for all this time.
