My heating pad doesn't have a thermometer, but I usually only use it in the winter time and turn it off when the weather warms up (I turned it off for good today). and he never burrows on the side with the pad.
Also, is it okay to use rosy reds to scent the pinkies with even though they aren't that safe for snakes? pet smart is pretty far from my house sadly and those are one of my few options

I never knew about them till I got a ball python that needed a hotter hot spot and ambient temp than my garters (I have a reptile room so I can use a space heater to keep the whole room at a certain temp)

Today I bought some rosy reds and rubbed one on a pinky and he bit into it fast, a few seconds into I think he was confused on what was in his mouth but he still ended up eating it!! hopefully he keeps it up
