Garter snakes

I'm new to this forum and I do not own or have a garter snake as a pet but I've been growing up around them all my life. Every summer where I live we get Great Plains garter snakes and the females are absolutely beautiful and they have amazing yellow and orange stripes , sad to say some people kill them. I have a nice little female leopard gecko and an adorable chubby cat , and I have taken time to study different species and more so garter snakes. I'm pretty knowledgable about garter snakes due to the fact that I see and going herping for them every spring , fall and summer. I'm glad to join a new site , more so forum and I hope I can connect and get to know other thamnophis lovers such as myself
