I'd leave things alone at this point. The shed could be spontaneous due to the injury and part of the healing process.

never facilitate a shed unless it is stuck shed it could make things worse

If the shed appears to be getting stuck around the wounds (like, stuck all the way around, not just a scrap) you can put a wet paper towel or two in his hide to help him get it off without stressing him too much.
Just be sure to remove them as soon as he's done shedding. Wet towels are a magnet for bacteria, and you don't want that near him right now.

Good news, he managed to down a small night crawler. Almost two but he dropped it and wasn't interested after that. The wound appears to be doing better, getting betadine from my mom's work, she works at a hospital and said she didn't trust the ones st the store as much as what they have at the hospital.

Can't argue with getting hospital quality betadine. Sure as hell couldn't hurt, just make sure you dilute it proportionate its strength.

Yeah, 3-4 part water to 1 part betadine is what I was told
