    Re: Progress!

Noodle's come charging out of his hide a time or two, but not always! He always eats if not in blue, but doesn't display the fabled enthusiasm for it.

Dart was actually striking at my finger through glass last night, probably letting me know what she didn't appreciate my 4 day gap between feedings instead of her usual 3. Sorry missy, my mother was over and I didn't want to be cutting pinks in half with guests around.

So I tentatively labeled Dart a female, but I tried to get a picture for the rest of you to take a gander at. As you can see, Dart was...not entirely thrilled with the process. I wish I could get a better pic, but my camera was refusing to focus on it any closer, and holding an unhappy garter one handed is an art form. Better educated guesses, anyone?

Well! Maybe I was wrong, then. Then again s...er...they?...were even smaller when I tried to guess, and I can't imagine wiggly babies are easy to figure and I'm a noob to start with.

I see male but not a definitive tail. Any chance you can post a side head photo.

    Re: Progress!

    I have a rough-skinned newt named Noodle :P

I also have to dump a snake out of its hide sometimes to give it food lol. First few days I had them, they wouldn't eat with me watching, but by now they're used to seeing me and I might try offering one a slug by hand soon, they'll take food immediately after setting it in front of them so I think they'd be willing to.

    Like that one, guidofatherof5?

I don't post as many pictures of this snake as I could. Very photogenic, is my Dart, thanks to freezing when spotted. :P
