It is with a saddened heart I report that our girl Lucky has passed away. She came to us as a newborn wild caught female T. radix - Plains Garter. Lucky was the most sociable garter I've ever seen. Her story would make a great children's book.
For the last month she was eating well but losing weight. I've seen this before in old snake and Lucky was 8 years old. She lived a full life with us and was a joy to know
Here's Lucky with her mom. My Gabby and Lucky were best friends.
I was wrong on her age. Lucky was 10.
She will be missed. R.I.P. my Lucky girl.
