    New Babies may be coming...

    Hi Everyone!

Just looking for some advice. We currently have a new addition, "Autumn". She was found in the yard that my husband was mowing a couple weeks ago. She is a very healthy looking eastern and I suspect she may be expecting. We just found a dead baby in the enclosure. My question is, I have her in an enclosure with a nice thick layer of aspen. Should I move her to another enclosure with less substrate or will any more babies that may come be ok and make it to the top? She is new and seems to always be buried in the substrate. The dead baby looked like it wasn't completely formed, so may not have survived even in the best of environments. She looks young, so this may be her first litter. Thanks for any input!

I would say put her on paper towels and check the enclosure often. Love to see a photo or two or three.

She looks like there may be a few more coming. She is kinda thick towards the end of the tail. We have moved her to a smaller enclosure with just paper towels for now. We checked the other enclosure and found no others. Fingers crossed that we get at least one live one, that would be awesome!

Ok, no more babies yet. She still has a couple lumps near her tail end. She has now taken to sitting in the water dish. Could this be a snakie version of a water birth?
