Emergency housing for garter

Hello again, ive been punching holes in buddy's tub lid and ive accidentally cracked the lid, i now have buddy in a small critter keeper, will this be an acceptable place for housing the footprint is 4x6x5 inches, im hoping to get a 5 gal for her later but now im broke at the moment.

If it's just a crack it shouldn't be an issue with security. Use some hot glue on both sides of the crack.. Even if you've broke out a piece of the lid the hot glue should hold it back in place.
Just an idea.
