I think I'm gonna go with Flexwatt Heat Tape - 3 in. - Heating - The Bean Farm
I don't need a fancy cord since I can solder it myself. I have yet to find cheaper than $2.10 a foot.

Flexwatt will do fine on a 6 foot run. I don't use the clip connectors to attach the wires. I solder them directly to the flexwatt. I don't trust the clips to make good contact.
Prices can really vary on flexwatt so be sure to shop around. Some places get $4-$6 a foot, I think that is way too much money.

Looks like 6 foot of 4 inch flexwatt on ebay is going for around $30 with free shipping.
